How to Put a Logo on the Front of a Roblox Shirt Template
On this editor's Classic Shirt canvas, shrink the imported logo, then drag it into the TORSO FRONT guide. That front square is x 128–255 and y 191–318 in the 585 × 559 PNG. A newly imported image starts at the center of the whole canvas, which is about 101 pixels to the right and 25 pixels below the front-panel center. Download the PNG and check the saved artwork before testing it in Roblox Studio.
These coordinates describe this editor's Classic Shirt guide and our saved PNG. They are not a guarantee of how every avatar body will render the garment.
Why canvas center is the wrong target
A Classic Shirt uses separate mapped regions for the torso and arms. Roblox Creator Hub identifies the torso FRONT as a 128 × 128 square on the shirt template. In this editor that square begins at x 128, y 191. Its center is x 192, y 255. The 585 × 559 file center is x 292.5, y 279.5. Centering a logo on the full file therefore puts most or all of a small logo off the torso front.
The editor's guide is a placement aid. It is visible while you work, but the Download PNG action saves the artwork alone. This distinction matters when you inspect the actual file: you should see the logo, not the colored guide or its label.
Our import, scale, and drag test
We made an original solid red 100 × 100 PNG in a browser test, imported it with Choose image, moved the Image size slider to 15%, dragged the image toward the front-panel center, and decoded a Download PNG export after each step. The test used the live editor controls in headless Chrome, not a mock drawing of the result.
| Step | Red pixel bounds in exported PNG | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Import, default size | x 13–571; y 0–558 | The image filled nearly the entire height of the canvas. |
| Scale to 15% | x 251–333; y 238–320 | Only a thin edge touched the x 128–255 front square. |
| Drag to front | x 150–233; y 213–296 | Every measured red pixel sat inside the front guide. |
One logo, two positions
Scaled to 15%: the outlined red square is the initial position; the filled red square is the exported position after dragging.
The measured after-drag box leaves 22 pixels from its left edge to the guide's left edge, 22 from its right edge to the guide's right edge, 22 above, and 22 below. That symmetrical margin is useful for this test square; real logos can have different transparent padding and should be checked by their visible artwork, not merely their image file's outer dimensions.
Test scope: we measured browser PNG pixels and placement relative to the editor guide. We did not test this red square on a Roblox Studio rig or upload it to the Marketplace.
Place your own logo in five steps
- Choose Classic Shirt. A chest logo on a mapped Shirt belongs in TORSO FRONT. If you want a square front graphic without a mapped Shirt, use the distinct Classic T-Shirt type instead.
- Import a logo with transparent surroundings. Choose image accepts PNG and other listed image types. A tightly cropped transparent PNG makes its visible edges easier to judge.
- Reduce Image size. Import defaults to a fit that nearly fills the canvas for a square source. Lower the slider until the visible logo fits comfortably within the 128 × 128 front guide.
- Drag over TORSO FRONT. Aim for the guide's center, around x 192, y 255. Leave margin around lettering and detailed edges so small placement errors do not cross into another region.
- Download and inspect. Open the PNG and confirm the artwork is inside the front square, the guide is absent, and the file is 585 × 559. Then follow Roblox's Studio test steps on a Block Avatar to check the rendered result.
Quick diagnosis
| What you see | Likely next check |
|---|---|
| The logo touches an arm or side region | Reduce Image size, then drag until its visible pixels fit inside TORSO FRONT. |
| The logo looks centered on the PNG but not on the front panel | Use the front guide at x 128–255, not the file center near x 293. |
| The saved PNG appears empty or too small | Inspect the downloaded file at full resolution and adjust the logo size before testing in Studio. |
| You intended a chest-only graphic | Consider Classic T-Shirt instead of switching a finished Shirt. |
